About Alex Fernández

I’m Alex Fernández, a Vancouver-based photographer with nearly 30 years of professional experience in commercial, editorial, corporate and architectural photography.

Throughout my career, I have worked on large-scale assignments for corporations, publishers, developers and hospitality groups, creating photography that goes beyond documenting a subject or space to communicate the identity and character of a brand.

My hospitality experience includes complete multi-property assignments for hotel groups and corporate annual reports, covering architecture, interiors, guest rooms, amenities, food & beverage, staff and service. These projects have included multiple properties and locations, requiring a consistent visual approach across every aspect of the assignment.

My architectural and interiors work includes large-scale residential and commercial developments, corporate facilities and public infrastructure. This experience has shaped a precise approach to perspective, composition and light, together with the attention to detail required for high-end commercial photography.

Portraiture has also been a central part of my career. I have photographed executives, public figures, employees and people at work for editorial and corporate assignments, including long-term collaborations with major publications and organizations in Mexico.

Now based in Vancouver, British Columbia, I bring together architectural precision, editorial storytelling and understanding of people and brands to create images with purpose, consistency and character.
